Plein Air Paint-Out & Wet Paint Sale (annual, late September)

Welcome to the Plein Air Paint-Out page! Our annual event has been running since 2019 and takes place every September. We welcome artists of all levels, including professionals, amateurs, and middle and high school students. Over three days, our participants create beautiful artworks that are available for purchase at our Wet Paint sale, which is open to the public. We are proud to support our artists with grant funds and provide a platform for them to showcase their talents. Thank you for visiting our website, and we hope to see you at our next event!

Paint Out

The 2025 Plein Air Paint Out was a wonderful success, bringing together artists, young creatives, and art lovers throughout Mount Holly! This year, 21 adult artists and more than 40 youth artists participated. From Thursday through Saturday, artists painted outdoors in and around Mount Holly, capturing the beauty, character, and charm of our community. The event concluded Saturday with a juried Plein Air Show, Wet Paint Sale, and community reception, giving visitors the opportunity to enjoy the artwork created throughout the weekend and take home a freshly painted piece.

Our juror, June Ni, had the difficult task of selecting the winning works from an impressive collection of beautiful paintings. Our talented artists certainly did not make her job easy!

2024 Plein Air Paint Out

The 2024 Plein Air Paint Out event was an ultimate celebration of creativity and community, bringing together artists from diverse backgrounds to capture the beauty of nature in real-time. With beautiful Mount Holly landscapes as their canvas, participants showcased their talent and passion, resulting in a stunning array of artworks. The event not only fostered artistic collaboration but also engaged the the public, inspiring appreciation for the arts and local environment. Overall, it was a resounding success, leaving a lasting impression on all who were in attendance.
