My Story
Frankie Kellum has embraced many creative roles throughout her career, from graphic designer/art director to interior decorator. With a BFA in graphic design, she began her professional journey working with ad agencies, newspapers, and corporations.
Her preferred medium is acrylic on wood panels, and she enjoys painting a wide range of subjects, from landscapes to animals. Her artistic approach begins with studying the interaction of light and shadow. Shapes, bright colors, and bold brushstrokes define her impressionistic style. Her process begins with a vibrant colored under-painting, If you look closely, remnants of these colors remain visible in her finished work. Like most artists, her style continues to evolve, and she eagerly explores new dimensions of impressionism in her pieces.
